Guitar

Well I finally hooked up my guitar to GarageBand and put a rough little song together. I haven't done anything real yet as I managed to break the pickup on my guitar, but fixed it again after much stress. Whew!

Rest (2004 Version)

I put a new link to my MacIdol page to the left there, right with the iTunes, What am I listening to link. Listen to it there or download it straight from me. Their link is faster, but here's my link to it on my server.

Rest (2004 Version)

This is a song that I wrote several years ago for music theory class and then later used in the Establishment of Harmony CD project that I did with Benjamin Payne and Jonathan Conley . This version has some GarageBand drum loops added and some nice new strings too. All the other parts are exactly the same except for the new voices being used.

Another Track

More GarageBand fun. I posted it to MacIdol and here is a link to it on my server.

Garbage Man

The lyrics are kind of absurd, but it's a fun tune.

Another Track and GarageBand Planet changes it's name.

First off, here's another track from lil' ol' me.

Grey As Rain

On another note, for legal reasons GarageBand Planet had to change their name to MacIdol , hopefully this won't be another legal issue, seeing as it resembles a certain popular music competition. ;-)

If you go to MacIdol, you can see that my track GarageBand Mic Test is at the top of the daily charts. :-)

New GarageBand Track

I reduced the bit rate of this mp3 and will do so from now on to make it an easier download.

And now, the new track!

More GarageBand Stuff

Ok, this is cool! GarageBand Planet is a site dedicated to people who make music with GarageBand. Anyone who uses GarageBand can sign up and let their music be heard by others either by downloading or on the streaming radio station. Very cool stuff!

GarageBand

I've been playing with Apple's new iApp GarageBand , thanks to Dad for buying me a copy when he bought his new G5. I've never had this much fun with an application that wasn't a game. It's fun and easy to use. Up until today I've only messed with loops, but today I used my microphone to record some vocals. And here it is, the moment you've all been waiting for. Garage Band Mic Test (<----MP3 File Slightly over 1 MB so not too scary to download.)

It will sound much better in an actual MP3 player app like iTunes.

And the exciting lyrics! ;-)

I don't want to work today.
But I've got lots of bills to pay
And I'm just going to sing this song,
To test the gear I'm recording on.

Shakespeare eat your heart out. ;-)

The accompaniment is all made from loops in GarageBand. I didn't actually play an instruments on this one, but again, this is just a test. :-)
