December 4th, 2004. Was it a dream?
I
arrived a little before 11:30 am. There she was, just as gorgeous and cute as
the night before. We still couldn't believe we were finally together! We spent a
little time at the house and then decided to go grab some lunch. Robyn suggested
a nice little Italian place, which was very close. We drove to the restaurant,
holding hands the whole way, walked in and seated ourselves. We ordered, Robyn,
the Chicken Parmesan and I, the Fettucine Alfredo. We sat and held hands across
the table as we waited for our food, just enjoying each other's company. I
couldn't look at her enough. Those eyes just drew me in. Our food arrived and we
both began to eat, neither of us nervous or bashful. We were so comfortable! We
just clicked like we had in every other stage of our relationship! It was
wonderful!
We
finished our meal and headed back to the house. Robyn's Dad had rented The Day
After Tomorrow so we watched that and talked a little, the movie was good, but
being together was better. After the movie Robyn and I went to the library where
she works and I met her coworker, Pete and got the tour. It was nice to see the
place that I had heard about for so long. I can imagine my cutie helping patrons
and putting books away now and actually know what the scene looks
like.
Back
at the house, we spent more time together and then Ron began to prepare Shrimp
Marinara. Robyn and I set the table and then we all sat down to eat. What a
feast! The Shrimp Marinara was amazing! I couldn't eat enough of it! Robyn's
parents are terrific people and as much as I enjoyed meeting Robyn, I enjoyed
meeting them too. We had a great
time.
One
thing I haven't mentioned up to this point is that Saturday night Robyn's family
was coming over for what I had dubbed The
Inquisition, and Ron had dubbed
The
Gauntlet. So that night I met her Aunt and Uncle
Gina and Dennis and her Aunt Susanne and Uncle Kevin. I also met her cousin
Colette and Colette's boyfriend, Mike. Let me just say that I was so happy to
see Robyn surrounded by so much love. I totally felt welcome and at home with
all of them. It was another wonderful
night.
As
the night wound down and family made their way home, Robyn and I just stayed
glued together. I just loved holding her hand, her skin is so nice and soft. I
could stare into her eyes for hours and never become bored. She is simply the
best thing to ever happened to me. I feel truly blessed that God brought us
together.
Was it a dream? If it was I
didn't want to wake up from it. I can still remember the feeling of her hand in
mine. I can't wait to see her again!
