Robyn

Let me tell you about Robyn. Robyn is 24 and lives in Massachusetts. She has studied psychology in college and hasnt finished yet, something I can relate to. She works for the local library, has a great relationship with her parents and her spiritual life is very important to her. Oh, and I shouldnt forget her love of the Red Sox who won against the Bluejays 6 to 4 in the 12th yesterday. ;-)

She and I began chatting one night in a chat room. Ive mentioned this before, it was her open, but totally non-pushy question of my belief in God that really got me thinking about where I was spiritually and how I had reached that point. Since then its just been a whirlwind of spiritual renewal. Ups and downs, but more ups. I lost my job and instead of feeling like my life is over, I feel like its just beginning. I can, now, really find a field and position that is fulfilling financially and personally. Its all part of the spiritual renewal, its become a renewal that is affecting all parts of my life.

Robyn and I chat daily and we have really grown to enjoy our chats together. Well, thats not quite true. We have immensely enjoyed our chats together from the beginning. Our enjoyment of them grows more and more each time. She is quite amazing, shes fun, shes smart, shes kind and caring. She loves God and her family. She has become very special to me. Heck, I watch baseball with her! That in its self is a miracle. ;-)

If we lived in the same town we would be dating, but as it is we just chat. We havent spoken on the phone because, even though we have become so close, she still doesnt feel comfortable giving out her personal information. I totally understand that in this day and age and will continue to chat with her and gain more of her trust. I think shes worth the wait.

I dont think Ill be making the 10 hour drive to Massachusetts any time soon, or flying there, considering my current financial situation. Dont be surprised if some time in the next year or so I take a trip to the lovely New England area. I would meet her parents, simply because of the unusual (though not so unusual these days) circumstances of our online meeting. They dont know me, why should they trust me? I would want to allay any fears they might have. I would stay in a motel and then we could go on a normal date almost as if we actually lived in the same town. ;-)

Neither of us knows where this is headed, but we are both enjoying getting to know one another and the whole process. Who knows what will come? Maybe we will just be good friends or maybe something more. Stranger things have happened.
