These folks would never survive at Kinko's

Ok, when I worked at Kinko's if a machine had a problem we did our best to try to fix it. A technician could be hours away or even days and our work was usually due in minutes or hours.

In my current job I get called to fix all sorts of things. These will be funnier to folks who have worked at Kinko's. Just imagine the Xerox tech driving 2 hours to fix these problems.

1. The copier glass looked like someone used it as a tray for their happy meal.
2. The paper in the main paper tray looked like they had dropped it on the ground, stepped on it a few times, and then put it back in the tray.
3. Someone put the paper in the side of the tray marked DO NOT PUT PAPER ON THIS SIDE and totally destroyed the cables that make the tray lift. (I had two of these today and in the past it has been broken by women storing their purses in the same spot)
4. The document feeder occasionally pulls more than one page through.
5. The paper was half in the paper tray.
6. The user had unplugged the network cable.
7. The user had unplugged the power strip that the printer was plugged into.
8. The toner cartridge needed to be replaced.
9. The copier door was ajar.
10. There was a paper jam exactly where the copier said there was.
11. The user couldn't get the copier door shut so they slammed it and broke it.

I love my job, but I just started laughing today thinking about all these problems I fix that wouldn't even have been blips on the radar at Kinko's. ;-)
