Chaos
I
was given the master spreadsheet today. It supposedly has all the printers on it
and it is one of the things I will update as I add new printers or move old
ones. I also update the frightening maps, attempting to feebly show the location
of each printer. Once I get a handle on all this I will write my complete guide
to how to do my job, both for my reference and for anyone who ever has to fill
in for me to reference too. I title this post
chaos
because that is what this system feels like. The problem is that there is no
system. My predecessors had their own systems that worked well, but deciphering
their systems is next to impossible. That is why I will write a guide so that
even a trained chimp will be able to follow it. I have a long road ahead of me,
but when I am done there will be much more order, much less confusion. Even with
the more than 500 printers that I monitor.
