and I went to see Ben play last night, at the Luna
Grille . We roped Nikki, also one of my ex coworkers from Kinko's,
into going too and we had a great time! Both Bill and Nikki bought CDs. We
arrived early and got seated near the stage. Ben began the show with a solo
performance. He did several songs with just his guitar. He joked that he was
opening for himself. Then he was joined by Matt on drums, Luke on bass guitar,
and Aaron on lead guitar. The show rocked. The great thing about seeing ben play
is that he is a great musician and he always finds other great musicians to work
with. I was out way past my bed time, but it was very much worth
it.
Edit: It has been pointed out to me that I did not post about a very important aspect of the evening. Two actually. One: Julie told me about the show, I didn't know he was playing because it was a recent development. We met Julie and Karen there, a good time was had by all. Two: Ben dedicated his song, The Journey, to me, because I was there when it was written. It really was a good time and I look forward to seeing him play again. |
