A Catholic Call for Dissent The above article is one reason why I am not a member of any religious organization. I will not be required to believe as the whole does. That's not to say that I don't agree with a very large portion of what some denominations of Christianity believe. I just believe that spirituality is personal and that no human being knows the heart of another human being and thus can not judge their eternal destination based on anything, choice of religion included. And another good article about him. A German Lesson: the Fallacy of One True Path To me, the true fallacy is the notion that religion is a path to God at all. Religion may assist with that path, or be a stage in the path, but it is not the whole of the path. To me, one's spirituality is a very personal thing, a relationship with one's creator, and no other person or organization is required to facilitate that relationship. |
