Nostalgia


Today, April 2nd, I logged on to Clan Lord as my freebie account will be expiring soon. I found myself in the version of the game that my character, Monolith, was born in. Version 34. This was their April Fool's Joke and it was fun. We are up to version 382 now. We only had 10 or so items in the game back then and the world was much, much smaller. I had fun running around and seeing things I missed, but seeing this older version only made me long for those days and lessen my desire to play the newer version. I miss the people in Clan Lord . They are some terrific folks. Another friend from there passed away recently. His Character was named Eyeball and he was a really nice guy and a great player. He will be missed.

Here are a few screen shots I took while running around today. Those of you who don't play won't notice any difference.



I feel somewhat nostalgic and yet, like with most revisitations of old stomping grounds, I found that the memory was better than the present reality. I guess you can't really ever go back.

Oh well, I guess I will go play some EQOA , although I haven't been playing that much either.
