"TV's Danza gives studio audience 'Assurance'

The studio audience for Monday's edition of syndicated television talk show "The Tony Danza Show" knew they'd get a lively hour of entertainment. But what they didn't know was that Danza had something special for everyone.

Danza walked on to his New York City studio set from the cold and snow outside and stood right next to a pair of Goodyear Assurance tires with TripleTred Technology. Danza told everyone that in slick, icy weather like they were having in New York that day, Assurance with TripleTred would offer great traction and confident driving. He then spent a few moments pointing out the advantages of the three tread zones and how well they perform in any weather conditions.

But the big surprise came when Danza told the 140 audience members that each would receive a set of four, courtesy of Goodyear. Amid enthusiastic and appreciate applause, Danza capped the moment by rolling the two display tires from in front of his host’s desk right to the audience.

The exposure on "The Tony Danza Show," a syndicated daytime talk show seen in more than 150 markets around the country, is the latest national media attention for Assurance. The February issue of Car and Driver magazine (which has been available for more than a week) features a column by Patrick Bedard, highlighting his experience with Assurance in the McKinley Climatic Laboratory at Florida's Eglin Air Force Base.
