"They should be hung, and tried, and shot" -- Zack de la Rocha of Rage Against The Machine

And this current administration is no exception. They should be hung, and tried, and shot. As any war criminal should be. But the challenges that we face, they go way beyond administrations. Way beyond elections. Way Beyond every four years of pulling levers. Way beyond that, because this whole rotten system has become so vicious and cruel, that in order to sustain itself, it needs to destroy entire countries, and profit from their reconstruction, in order to survive, and that's not a system that changes every four years, it's a system that we have to break down generation after generation after generation after generation after generation. Zack made this statement near the end of a performance of their song Wake Up at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. While I love Rage Against The Machine and am frustrated by many of the same societal issues as they are, I do not in any way encourage the execution of political rivals any more than I did when Pat Robertson called for the assassination of Hugo Chavez.

If there are charges to be brought against them then fine, but inciting people to violence is not the answer. You don't have to be violent to rage against the machine. Just ask Ghandi or Martin Luther King Jr.

I agree with you, Mike. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I don't want President Bush harmed in any way. i just want him impeached, and out of office. grin

Have any of you looked into possibly finding some testicles at all? You think we are going to continue our way of life as Americans being pussies like you liberals want us to be. No, we are going to do it by eliminating threats in the world like Iraq and Iran. You should look into getting the hell out of this country if you do not belive that too. Because if you got your way we would no longer be Americans anyway when your talking doesn't work and we get taken over by the Middle East. Have your learned Arabic yet? Also, how would you feel if Zach de la Rocha said something like that about Hillary or Obama? It is okay when it is said about Republicans right? I say he should be shot.

Where did I say I approved of Zach's comments at all. I said the exact opposite. Why do so many accuse someone of being liberal if they are opposed to the war in Iraq? You don't know me. Why would I leave this country that I love?

Zach was talking about Republicans and Democrats by the way. "every single one of 'em, every last rich white one of 'em from Truman on"
