December 3rd, 2004 Changed Everything

My plane landed and I made my way to the shuttle that would take me to the car rental facility. I got in the rental car and activated my cell phone. I dialed the number and my favorite voice in the world answered the phone. I began to attempt to follow the directions I had to get to the hotel and was immediately lost because of the construction. Robyn, put her Dad, Ron on the phone and he gave me some instructions, but I ended up going the wrong way and getting lost in East Boston. I described the area I was in and we decided that I would wait at the McDonald's and Ron would come guide me back to the house.

I had only seen a picture of Robyn and none of her family. Robyn described the car and what Ron was wearing and I talked to her while waiting and then Ron pulled up with a big, welcoming smile on his face. I was feeling much better. We decided to head back to the house, pick Robyn and her Mom, Joyce up, drive to the hotel, and then to dinner. I got back in the rental car and followed Ron through, what appeared to me to be a maze of streets designed before automobiles had ever been thought of. We pulled into Robyn's town and up to her house. I parked the car and followed Ron into the house and met Joyce and then Ron jokingly said, "And this is Robyn." I almost needed that introduction because she looked even better than the image that had been captured in the picture she had sent me. She looked amazing and that smile just made me so happy. We hugged, we were both so relieved to have finally met.

Robyn and I drove in the rental car and I held her hand for the first time. At every stop I turned to look at her, I couldn't keep my eyes off her she was so cute, so much more than I had hoped for. We followed her parents to the hotel where I checked in and then we all drove together to Jimmy's Steer House where we had a wonderful time. Robyn's parents are wonderful and the food was terrific. Robyn and I shared a piece of cheesecake and it was at that point that we both knew this would work out just fine.

After eating we went back to get my car and I followed them back to the house where we all talked some more and watched TV. Robyn and I sat on the couch together and held hands again. The hand holding was almost constant that weekend. It was funny, we were like a couple of kids as we slowly inched closer together and then we were sitting right next to each other, her hand in mine. Everything melted away that night. Every doubt, every fear. We both knew that there was nothing to worry about, we would be just fine. I had always told Robyn that I wanted to kiss her nose and this always elicited an "Awwww". Well, I finally kissed that cute, little nose. And it was wonderful, amazing, and spectacular! She is beautiful and cute and sexy and I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the weekend.

December 3rd, 2004 Changed Everything.

We met that night and we will meet again.

I guarantee it.

How could I stay away from that gorgeous smile?
